Ideal for classrooms, larger wheel work, sculptural work, or production work, Standard Ceramic 553 Buff Stoneware Clay is an excellent all-purpose clay that contains fire clay and fine grog. It has a very plastic body and fires to a cream color at Cone 5.
Bisque fire to Cone 04, and fire to Cone 6. Shrinkage is 12.0% at Cone 6, and absorption is 1.25% at Cone 6. Standard Ceramic 553 Buff Stoneware Clay comes in a 25lb bag. It is de-aired and ready to use.
