The thinner the application the more brown the glaze will be. The thicker the application, the more blue the glaze will be. Where the glaze breaks it will be brown.

Cone 6 oxidation (larger image): Stoned Denim is a variegated blue glaze that breaks brown.
Cone 10 reduction (smaller image): Color darkens.
