This class is all about cylinders and how to make them perfectly. Weather you are new to ceramics or you have a few years in the art, this cylinder class will take you back to the basics and help you to form new good habits or correct old ones.

Week 1: Learn the proper skills to throw a perfect cylinder

Week 2: Learn how take those cylinders and turn them into various shapes and objects along with critiquing your cylinder forms.

Week 3: Glaze the 10 cylinders that you were most proud of.

Make Up Policy: Quick make-up sessions are possible in a 30 minutes increment before a pre-scheduled ongoing class.  You may also be able to make up your class in another ongoing class if space is available. 

You will be working with "real" stoneware clays and glazes.  It is the same materials we use in the production of our high-fired stoneware.  Everything you make will be food, microwave, dishwasher, and oven safe.  All pottery is subject to cracking, blistering and glaze running which make your piece unfunctional due to the firing process.  We do everything we can to prevent defects but is part of the pottery experience.  

Three week adult pottery classes range in size from 4 -10 people.  Class may be canceled last minute due to low enrollment.  Payment is required at the time of sign-up to secure a spot in the class.

Please wear appropriate clothing for getting clay on, trim your fingernails, tie back long hair and remove any hand accessories.

Finished pottery pieces not picked up in 90 days will be discarded.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations and session changes are permitted up to 14 days prior to the start of the session.  Due to the limited number of spaces available in each class, students who must cancel from 14 to 7 days prior to the start of the session will be refunded 50% of the class fee. No refunds are permitted on cancellations less than 7 days prior to the start of the session. We reserve the right to cancel or merge any of our classes based on enrollment. All students that may be affected by these changes will be notified, and those students will have the right to cancel their registration for a full refund or receive a credit for the next class session.  FULL REFUNDS ARE SUBJECTIVE TO A 5% SERVICE FEE.
